How Do I Change My IP Address?
Before you try to change your IP address, turn off (or unplug) your cable or DSL modem for five minutes.
If your computer is assigned by dynamic IP address, the IP address will automatically change after you restart the modem.
If your computer uses static IP address, you may follow the steps below to change your IP address.
For Windows XP:
1) Open Control Panel from the Start Menu.
2) Click on Network Connections.
3) Double-click on the Local Area Connection.
4) Click on Properties.
5) Choose Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click on Properties.
6) Then you can change the IP address.
For Windows 7:
1) Open Control Panel from the Start Menu.
2) Click on Network and Sharing Center.
3) Click on Local Area Connection.
4) Click on Properties.
5) Choose Internet Protocol Version 4 or 6 (TPC/IPv4 or TPC/IPv6) and click on Properties.
6) Then you can change the IP address.
