How Do I Hide IP Address?

The common way to hide your IP address is to use a proxy server. And people hide their IP addresses in order to remain anonymous on the Internet.

There are several methods of using proxy servers to hide IP address.

1) Website Based Proxy Servers

A website based proxy server is proxy server that provides the form for user to enter the URL that they wish to browse anonymously. When user submits the form, the website proxy server will make the request for the page, while the machine usually does not identify itself as a proxy server and does not pass along the user’s IP address in the request of that page.

There are many features of these sites such as: Remove all cookies, Remove all scripts, Remove ads, Hide referrer information, Text only, Show URL entry form, Remove page titles, Minimize caching, Hide user agent, Hex encode URL’s.

Some features are free, and some charge. Proxify.com is an example of website based proxy servers.

2) Browser Configured Proxy Servers
