Wireless Broadband Mobile
Wireless mobile is a broadband internet in cell phone network. EDGE and EVDO are two mobile system technologies.
EDGE (Enhanced Data rates for GSM Evolution) was introduced in 2003 in North America via GSM (Global System for Mobile) and now it is available worldwide. EDGE increase data transmission rate and improves data transmission reliability in mobile devices. EDGE can transmit data at 236.8 kilobits per second and can be at maximum speed of 473.6 kilobits per second.
EVDO (Evolution-Data Optimized) is faster than EDGE. It can transfer data via radio signal. It is used CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) network. This network can provide high data transmission speed and support many numbers of users.
WiMAX is another wireless broadband technology that comes with 10 megabits per second. It might rise up to 40 megabits or more per second in the future.
