Adware is referred to advertising-supported software. It annoys at best to most users. It often comes bundled with other application software that a user installs or accesses.
However, to the software developer, it is good for them. They can offset the cost of software development by offering advertising to their clients. It is also how a developer can offer the software for free to users.
The negative side of adware is it allows advertisements to be displayed automatically without permission on the user’s computer.
Some adware is a data collector, it tracks which website the user visits, and then it will display advertisement related to the content of that website, wish to generate a sale, or click a link to advertiser’s website.
Some adware can be spread thought email attachments.
Other adware can download and install a spyware. And mostly, it is installed without the knowledge of user.
Adware will slow down the computer and allow pop-up advertisements to show up on the desktop of user computer.
